Gov Adamu Attah of Kwara State

 Meet Adamu Atta who was an indigene of Ebira land, in present Kogi State. Born in Okene in 1927, he was son of warrant chief Ibrahima Atta, whom the British granted wide powers under the Native Authority system. Alhaji Adamu Atta of blessed memory, he was managing director of Nigeria electricity power authority in Kanji dam before he retired. He became the first civilian governor of kwara state, representing the National Party of Nigeria (NPN), although he came from a minority ethnic group. Atta defeated Obatemi Usman for a seat in the Constituent Assembly in 1977. He was also a member of the 1976 constituent assembly. His impact as governor will linger on as his laudable achievements in the present day Ebira land can not be over emphasized.   THE OMI'AKELE ATTAH IGALA ORGANIZES SPECIAL ISLAMIC PRAYER FOR HER GRANDMOTHER AT AGUDOKO IN ANYIGBA The Omi'Akele Attah Igala and The defunct gubernatorial and Presidential hopeful at different times; Princess (Dr.) Hadiza Ibrahim organized an Islamic prayer session for the memory of her beloved grandmother whom she said was everything to her during her growing up days and kept showing me her love till death.
