The Speaker of the Igala Youth Leaders Assembly; Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Ojoachele Akor Felix has condoled with the families of Lieutenant Ibrahim Suleiman and Captain Samuel Attah who were killed during an ambush launched on the Presidential Brigade Guard on Sunday by suspected terrorists.
The PBG was on distress call to the Nigeria Law School in Bwari when the unwaranted dastard incident occurred.
It was saddening that two of the fallen gallant officers involved in the gruesome incident, were regrettably sons of Kogi state from the Igala kingdom of the eastern flank of our dear state; Captain Samuel Attah and Lieutenant Ibrahim Suleiman
In a condolence message today Wednesday, IYLA's speaker said the deceased’s short stay on earth has impacted greatly on the nation, especially in areas of peace and security.
The leaderships and members of the Igala sociocultural organization has commended the bravery of Lieutenant Ibrahim Suleiman and Captain Samuel Attah who went on the field to protect the Nigeria Law School, Bwari and the country from onslaught of bandits and terrorists, assuring that their memories would be indelible, and their efforts remembered.
The speaker also commiserated with the Nigerian; Air Force, Military airmen, airwomen and all friends of the deceased, recalling their deft skills in manoeuvring combats. We honour and salute them with pride.
He also sympathised with parents of the two fallen gallant officers especially, Col Suleiman Ahmodu Babanawa, Chief Attah Ibaji, the government and people of Kogi state on the loss, and prayed that the Almighty God would receive the souls of the departed, and comfort the families they left behind.
