THE FORMAL INAUGURATION OF CANVASSERS FOR THE ACTUALIZATION OF THE CANDIDACY OF HON. LAWAL IDRIS IN 2023


 The opening prayer was done by Hon. Tokula Amos.

There was an assembly of the frontline leadership and members of the New Nigeria People Party's Campaign Council for the  House Of Representative Election in Ajaokuta Federal Constituency today being October 11, 2022 for gracious inauguration of the canvassers. It was held at the compound of Hon. Baba Ali in 500 housing units.

The bottomline for inauguration was for the roboost actualization and landslide victory of Hon. Lawal Idris as the Rep member for 2023.

The event was commenced via the presentation of a brief speech by the Director General Campaign Council, Prince Balemo who stated vehemently that given the organisation, arrangement and preparations carried so far and still ongoing, he has no doubt on the victory of Hon. Lawal Idris. He emphasized further that Our candidate will win the next election by wide margin through the multiplier effects of our activities especially by all our canvassers who have been handpicked from across the fourteen polling units in Ganaja. 



Prince Balemo advised the canvassers to do their work well with every sense of diligence, hardwork and Proactiveness. He pointed out to all of them catagorically that _*"you are going to face challenges while also meeting your enemies who would not vote for your candidate but you must not give up and that you can change the political narratives through the power of persuasiveness, approach and strategies used on voters.*_

Your ability to convince the voters to vote for our candidate is key. Be diplomatic too, he has added.

All the canvassers were lined up before the party leaders and members for the administration of the oath of office and allegiance.

The canvassers had unambiguously and unanimously agreed to work for the NNPP positive fortunes and favourable outcomes at the poll.



The canvassers have pledged their loyalty that they would not rest until Hon. Lawal Idris as the next member of the House of Representatives beyond 2023 is successfully  delivered.


Hon. Abubakar Muhammad while addressing the Canvassers stated that the right duties and responsibilities for each and every canvasser shall be read to them before the close of the programme already going on.

Over ten Canvassers for each ward were selected from the fourteen polling units in Ganaja bringing the total to one hundred forty (140) Canvassers.




The oath of office and  allegiance was administered by Alhaji Abdulmuminu Abdulahi Ogeja thus;

Oath Of Office:

I .......... do solemnly swear and affirm that I shall be faithful and bear true allegiance to Hon. Lawal Election/campaign Committee as canvassers in polling unit ... in Ganaja. I shall discharge my duties to the best of my ability, faithfully and in accordance with advancement, well being and prosperity of the Committee. That I will strive to pursue, enhance and achieve the aims and objectives of the Committee  rules and manifesto of NNPP; that I shall not allow my personal interest to influence the Committee decisions, that in all circumstances, I shall do   right to all manner of people, according to law without fear or favour, affection or ill will that I shall not directly or indirectly communicate or reveal to any opponent in any manner which shall be brought to my attention or which shall become known to me as canvassers in polling unit...., except as maybe required for the due discharge of my duties and that I shall devote myself to service and wellbeing of the members and people of Ganaja in Ajaokuta LGA, 

So help me God.
