The theme of this year's edition was tagged Social media and Adolescent Behavioural Adjustment Social Vices; Implications For Counselling.

Our two promising and successful academia, Dr. Odiba Enefola and Solomon Nuhu Anyegwu were able to adequately do justice to the two carefully selected topics which bordered on social media and it's far reaching negative implications on the people especially teenagers and the society.
The first Speaker, Dr. Solomon Nuhu Anyegwu fascinatedly presented his lecture to the gathering made up of the organisers, guests and the students of various schools and their respective guardians.
He defined social media as both a technological and computer based online system that facilitate diverse influences. It is an electronic means of communication. It has alot of advantages and disadvantages. It facilitates easy on the hand sharing of information for followership within or around and beyond borders of Nations.
It creates interactions between people and groups. It allows widespread of activities of incorporation and enterprise activities beyond borders. Social Media has negative effects on the youths. It can lead to the destruction of the core values like; faithfulness, integrity, respect, honour and others in our society.
These long cherished values can be destroyed. Reading culture is been eroded. Most people are glued to their phones not minding the effects of radiation. Radiation is carcinogenic. It also waste time vis-a-vis the damaging of the brains as a result of addiction to phones and other electronics. The Brain is the centre of our nervous coordination and it's needs relaxation through sleeping. The brain can be damaged as a result of our addiction to the information shared on the social Media. The social Media encouraged fake news dissemination, the promotion of promiscuity and Immorality. He spelt out how all the negative effects of social media can be curbed viz; public enlightenment, legislations to harped on stiff regulations against fraud and sexual promiscuity. Those things must not be allowed to be promoted by the National Communication Commission and other bodies. We need to reawakened the consciousness of our youth especially children on our cultural core values which are now missing. He thanked the members of Igala Integrity Forum for fulfilling the novel quest assignment bordering on enlightenment.
The awardees were; The Idah Council Boss, Hon. Abuh Odoma, 2019 kogi state PDP' Governorship Aspirant, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris, Hon. Egbunu Yusuf Amanabo, Chief (Dr) Inuwa Iyodo and others.
Dr. Odiba Enefola specialized in Building Engineering Construction management and majored in quality. He encouraged the students who came from the various schools to be mindful of their behaviours in terms of their sense of respect, honour and integrity. He pointed out that many people in the society should take note of how we live and behaved because whatever we shared either as individuals and groups will be account for in the final analyses.
Dr. Odiba stated that Integrity is the foundation of success. He also said we should be real in our identity and interactions because in the 21st century; softwares are available that encourage image filtering. He also pointed out the negative effects of the social media on people to be; Inadequate sleep, exposure to cyber buly and the lack of physical activities.
He summarisd his lecture by saying; "Before you act, think of the negative effects therein."
The Master of ceremony; Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim was a well known and sound mass communicator as the two times Director of Protocol to the past and current Governors of Kogi state. He added values to the program through his presence, presentation and valuable advisory roles. He unveiled to the gathering the Igala Integrity Forum's Mega Building Project at Lokoja, the state's capital. He also maintained that it's germane and strategic for IIF to have such an important building to drive further her many lofty projects. Alhaji Suleiman told the gathering especially the guests that an account shall soon be flaunted by the group to solicit for project's fund from the public and spirited individuals.
