DAY 2: Strengthening Communities: Discussions, Questions, and Answers (DQAs)

A meticulously structured session focusing on discussions, questions, and answers regarding Microplanning as a vital tool for ensuring widespread distribution of Human Papilloma Virus Vaccines (HPVV) across communities took place.

During the DQAs, it was emphasized that Microplanning serves to identify priority communities, overcome obstacles, and develop work plans with effective solutions for HPV vaccine introduction in Kogi state.

State Ministry of Health and Primary Health Care Development Agencies Kogi, along with other pertinent technical experts from the WHO, UNICEF, JSI and Sight Savers provided invaluable technical support and information to address queries and offer solutions tailored to the specific areas of coverage for the State Team. These efforts are expected to significantly reduce the tragic occurrence of losing one woman every two minutes to cervical cancer.

The advancements in cervical cancer prevention and treatment highlighted during the session underscore the importance of HPV vaccination and screening in mitigating this preventable disease.

Activities for Day 2 closed at 1:54pm
