 ALH ABUBAKAR IBRAHIM IDRIS MOURNS THE PASSING OF PRINCE KABBA OBAJE Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris, the former PDP' gubernatorial candidate 2019, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Prince Abdulkadiri Kabba Aliyu Obaje, the first son of the late Ata Igala, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Aliyu Otulukpe Obaje (Gabaidu). In a heartfelt condolence message, Abu Ibro as was fondly called, described the death of Prince Kabba Obaje as a monumental loss to the Igala Kingdom, Kogi State, and Nigeria at large.  Former Jigawa State Governor and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Sule Lamido, has declared that he will not attend party meetings unless Nyesom Wike and Samuel Ortom among others are expelled. Lamido made the Wike and Ortom expel declaration in an interview with journalists. The former Foreign Affairs Minister who incidentally is a member of two statutory organs of the party, the National Executive Committee, (NEC) and Board of Trustees, (BoT) listed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike and former Benue State Governor, Dr Samuel Ortom amongst individuals who should have been expelled from the main opposition party for working against its interest in the 2023 general elections.  THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE ATTAH AND OBA  According to oral and written History, the Oba of Benin and Attah Igala did send gifts to each other. While Attah do send meat and tusks of elephant to the Oba, the Oba on his own part also sent different gifts. One of such was coconut, which was never in Igala Kingdom before. Attah planted some of this coconuts, and that was the genesis of coconut in Igala Kingdom. And since the coconuts came from Oba, it was then named by Igala people as Uno-Oba, meaning the Nut of Oba.  According to oral history of the Ukala people of Delta State, they were sent from the palace of Attah Igala to take part in the building of Benin wall. Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 has inaugurated the Thomas Sankara Mausoleum in Ouagadougou .  The Thomas Sankara Mausoleum is a monument commissioned by Captain Ibrahim Traore to honor the life of Sankara and his 12 comrades who were assassinated in 1987 in a French-backed coup led by Blaise Compaore.   The Thomas Sankara Mausoleum was designed by Burkinabè architect Francis Kéré.  The memorial is a Pan-African place honoring Thomas Sankara for all of Africa and the world. The Burkina Faso government, led by Captain Traore, built the Thomas Sankara Mausoleum to promote national values.  About fifteen facilities are constructed on the site of the Thomas Sankara Memorial, including the 87-meter Sankara Tower, the mausoleum, a cable car to the Bangr weogo urban park, and a green belt for Ouagadougou.  Meet Adamu Atta who was an indigene of Ebira land, in present Kogi State. Born in Okene in 1927, he was son of warrant chief Ibrahima Atta, whom the British granted wide powers under the Native Authority system. Alhaji Adamu Atta of blessed memory, he was managing director of Nigeria electricity power authority in Kanji dam before he retired. He became the first civilian governor of kwara state, representing the National Party of Nigeria (NPN), although he came from a minority ethnic group.
