APC primary: DANS BOBO wants delegates to vote Chief David Edward Onoja

APC primary: DANS BOBO wants delegates to vote Chief David Edward Onoja

A young political figure who is an unrepentant and active supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC); Hon. Dans Bobo Oma Edward has urged delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the party’s governorship primary election to vote Deputy governor of Kogi State, Chief (Dr.) David Edward Onoja as the gubernatorial candidate of the party for the 2023 elections.

He stated this during an interactive session with the friends and wellwishers of the amiable deputy governor whom he described as a capable and result oriented personality.

He affirmed that the former Chief of Staff fits into the picture of who can win election for the party and continue from where Governor Yahaya Bello will stop.

Dans Bobo as a great youth leader in a statement said Chief Edward has the qualities needed to redirect Kogi state.

He said “The political class especially the delegates are expected to take the above position because we are all convinced that God has chosen Chief Edward David Onoja as the man that will redirect Kogi state to economic prosperity.

“Governor Yahaya Bello has long ago spoken clearly that he will be succeeded by a capable hand within the APC FAMILY and we are seeing that coming to reality given what has unfolded so far.

Chief Edward is the kind of personality we want as the successor of Governor Yahaya Bello. We believe Chief Edward fits into this bill.

“Chief is a man blessed by God with the gift of identifying talents and people with quality. This is exemplified with the type of capable people that he has introduced to the detribalized Governor across Kogi since he became a political bridge builder moreso as a Chief of Staff then in 2015 till 2019.

“We believe strongly that Chief Edward will be able to assemble the right people that will be round pegs in round holes to give a new direction for Kogi State in the area of security, economic recovery, sports, environment and every other sphere of life of the state.

“Today, Kogi is working because of the foundation Alhaji Yahaya Bello has laid and this needs to be replicated in the state by Chief Edward. That is why we are appealing to members and leaders of the APC to give CEDO the Governorship ticket of the party and by the grace of God, he will win the general election and we are confident that he will not disappoint Kogites.

“We therefore appeal to all the delegate to give their votes to the man Kogi needs at this moment and that is Chief Edward David Onoja”

Hon. Dans Bobo aka Oma Edward is a well known and young politician from Idah LGA in Kogi state.

ABENEMI’S CARETAKER COMMITTEE OF KOGI SDP: A FARCE?

ABENEMI’S CARETAKER COMMITTEE OF KOGI SDP: A FARCE? The situation regarding the caretaker committee established by the SDP in Kogi state is beginning to shift, as the presiding judge has decided to return the case to the Chief Judge (CJ) for reassignment to a substantive judge once the judicial vacation ends. This decision is significant because, upon reassignment, the new judge will set a fresh date for the hearing, which, according to reports, may be sometime in October or November. Until then, all parties must maintain the status quo, meaning, Hon. Moses Peter will continue as the chairman, and the caretaker committee's actions will be rendered ineffective, making all their decisions null and void. In terms of the upcoming elections, this implies that: - The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) will be legally bound to recognize Moses Peter as the party chairman and work with him on all electoral matters. - Candidates not presented to KOSIEC through the office ...
